Privacy Policy

How iGotTools handles browser-local tool data, analytics, advertising cookies, retention, third-party services, and user controls.

Operator and purpose

iGotTools is operated as a browser-first utility site. We provide tools for formatting, converting, inspecting, generating, and checking data in your browser. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@igottools.com.

Local browser processing

Most MVP tools run locally in your browser. iGotTools does not intentionally send tool inputs, files, generated values, and tool results to iGotTools servers for those tools. If you copy, download, open an external link, or share content outside iGotTools, that action is controlled by you and may involve other services.

Data categories

Tool data may include pasted text, images, JSON, URLs, tokens, generated passwords, metadata, or other content you choose to load into a tool. Usage data may include page URL, locale, device and browser signals, coarse interaction events, referrer, approximate region, and IP address processed by hosting, analytics, or advertising providers.

Analytics

iGotTools may use Google Analytics to measure page views and safe interaction events such as tool_run, copy_result, clear_input, download_result, related_tool_click, and faq_open. Analytics events must not include raw input, file names, converted output, generated passwords, JWT contents, image metadata, copied content, or other user-generated content. Google explains this processing on the How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services page.

Advertising and cookies

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, limit repeated ads, personalize ads where allowed, and measure performance. Google AdSense policy requires disclosure that third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies based on visits to this site or other sites. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.

Third parties and international transfers

Third-party recipients may include hosting, analytics, advertising, email, security, and infrastructure providers. These providers may process technical and usage information in countries other than your own, which means international transfers may occur under their terms, safeguards, and applicable law.

Retention

iGotTools does not retain browser-local tool inputs or outputs for MVP tools. Analytics retention, advertising cookie lifespans, server logs, and contact messages follow the retention settings of the relevant provider or operational need. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

Your rights and controls

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, opt out of sale or sharing, or non-discrimination. You can clear local storage, change browser cookie settings, use Google Analytics opt-out tools, manage Google Ads Settings, withdraw consent through any consent controls shown on the site, or contact privacy@igottools.com.

Children

iGotTools is a general utility site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security measures

We use practical security measures such as browser-local processing for MVP tools, HTTPS hosting, limited analytics payloads, and avoiding raw tool content in analytics events. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Changes

We may update this policy when iGotTools changes analytics, advertising, consent controls, contact handling, infrastructure, or tool categories. The latest version appears on this page with the updated date.
